my career goals
My aspiration is to be a working journalist. I have proven myself particularly well in news and feature writing, including reporting on local government affairs and university events. I am a talented writer and I am capable of crafting a finely-tuned piece on whatever subject matter I’m covering. Writing to inform my Chattanooga community is one of the greatest contributions I’ve given in life.
In my heart, I am an entertainment journalist, and that is my dream job. While I work to keep myself informed on more “important” real-world issues, I more often find myself reading about movies, television and video games. Working at a place like IGN.com would be a dream, but I’d still be quite happy with a career at the local Chattanooga Times Free Press. I have dedicated my life to journalism and I firmly believe that my path will deliver me where I need to be, as far as my career. My path has delivered me my leadership position at the University Echo and I’m confident I will continue to end up in the rooms I need to be in.
I have a strong desire for truth, and I’m exceptionally skilled at being a vessel of truth for my community.
